Neates Glen Entry
The Grand Canyon track enters the plateau through Neates Glen — the sandstone walls close in immediately as the track descends into the cool, dark world below the surface.

Grand Canyon Narrows
The canyon narrows to just a few metres wide in places, the sandstone walls rising 30 metres above the track — moisture drips from hanging gardens of ferns and mosses on the cliff faces.

Fern Bower
A natural fern bower where the canyon walls overhang creates a microclimate of perpetual moisture — tree ferns, maidenhair ferns, and water moss cover every surface in brilliant green.

Waterfall Grotto
A hidden waterfall drops into a small pool in the canyon — the sound of water fills the enclosed space, and the sunlight that penetrates creates brief rainbows in the spray above the pool.

Beauchamp Falls
Beauchamp Falls is the canyon's main waterfall — a ribbon of water dropping over layered sandstone into a dark pool, surrounded by ancient coachwood trees draped in moss.

Clifftop Return View
The track climbs back to the plateau through open heath giving sudden views across Govetts Gorge — the scale of the Blue Mountains becomes clear from this plateau edge vantage point.
