Tangier City Center
The modern commercial center around Boulevard Mohammed VI has high-rise hotels, international brands and a mall that would not look out of place in any European city. A dramatic contrast with the medina just minutes away.

The largest port in Africa and the Mediterranean handles enormous volumes of container traffic and is surrounded by industrial free zones that have transformed the regional economy.

The modern tram network connects the medina to the new neighborhoods and beach areas. It is clean, efficient and gives visitors easy access across the city without taxis.

Malabata Beach and Corniche
The long sandy beach east of the medina is where Tangier residents swim, play football and gather for evening strolls. It is more local than the tourist-oriented beach areas and authentically Moroccan in character.

Cinema Rif Cultural Center
The restored art deco cinema on the Grand Socco now operates as a film archive, cultural center and arthouse cinema. It hosts the annual Tangier Film Festival and is the cultural hub of the city.

Tangier Free Zone
The industrial free zone surrounding TangerMed has attracted major manufacturers from Renault to Boeing. It is a remarkable example of rapid industrial development that has reshaped northern Morocco.
