Jim Jim Falls is accessible only by 4WD on a corrugated track from the Kakadu Highway — the 60 km track crosses creek beds that become impassable in the wet season, so the falls are only accessible from June to October.

Twin Falls requires a boat trip up the gorge — the boat negotiates a narrow gorge with walls rising vertically for 100 metres on each side before opening into the Twin Falls amphitheatre.
