Ashgabat Darvaza Gas Crater Door to Hell

Drive to the Darvaza Gas Crater — the natural gas crater in the Karakum Desert 260 kilometers north of Ashgabat that has been burning continuously since Soviet drillers accidentally broke through to a gas pocket in 1971, the crater 70 meters wide and 20 meters deep glowing orange and red in the night sky, known as the Door to Hell.
